羅臼岳：夏の羅臼岳穏やか。寒暖差に注意

羅臼岳山頂は午前7時現在、体感7.6℃と夏山としては肌寒い。山麓との気温差は9.2℃に達している。日中は薄曇りから曇りとなり、山頂気温は11℃から12.8℃まで上昇する見込みだ。降水はなく、地面は全体的にドライな岩稜露出コンディション。泥濘の心配は少ない。知床の山は海風による濃霧が発生しやすい。現在の視程は2.5kmと良好だが、午後にかけて曇り予報のため、羅臼コースの知床峠から山頂にかけては、海岸線からの霧が流入し視界不良に陥る可能性を考慮すること。ヒグマ生息地であるため、フードロッカーの携行と熊鈴の装着を徹底し、単独行動は避けるべきだ。雷リスクは低い。強風は午後15時に突風5.3m/sとやや強まるが、行動に支障をきたすレベルではない。ただし、低体温症リスクは存在する。標高1621.34mでの体感気温は午前中一桁台、日中でも10℃前後で推移する。ベースレイヤーに吸湿速乾性のもの、ミッドレイヤーにフリースや薄手ダウン、アウターに防風防水のシェルを必ず携行すること。休憩時には冷え込むため、防寒着をすぐに羽織れる準備が重要だ。夜間にかけて気温は6℃まで低下する。日帰り行動が基本だが、万一の停滞に備え、ヘッドライトや予備の防寒着は必須装備となる。
