利尻山：肌寒い山頂薄着は禁物

利尻山山頂は日中を通して曇り、気温は4度から6度台で推移する見込み。風速は4から5メートル毎秒、突風は最大13メートル毎秒が予想される。このため、体感気温は4度から5度台と肌寒い一日となる。特に鴛泊コースや沓形コースで、9合目から山頂にかけての脆い火山礫地帯では、風の影響を強く受け体感温度がさらに低下する可能性がある。地面は降水がなくドライだが、高湿度と気温で湿り気を帯びる箇所もあるだろう。足元は滑りやすい箇所に注意が必要だ。ベースレイヤーは吸湿速乾性、ミッドレイヤーはフリース、アウターには防風防水のシェルジャケットを必ず携行すること。手袋や帽子も必携だ。アイゼンやチェーンスパイクは不要。雷のリスクは低いが、風による体感温度の低下には常に警戒が必要。行動中はこまめな休憩と栄養補給を心がけ、体温維持に努めること。視程は良好だが、海風による急な濃霧発生の可能性も念頭に置き、常に周囲の状況を確認しながら行動する判断が求められる。夕方には一時的に快晴となるが、夜間は再び曇り、気温は2度台まで低下する。日帰り行動を基本とし、やむを得ず停滞する場合は厳重な防寒対策が不可欠となる。
