Perceived temperature will remain comfortable due to light winds, with gusts peaking around 5 meters per second, posing no hindrance to movement.

Trail conditions will largely remain dry. Only a light drizzle of 0.1 mm is forecast around 3 PM, which is unlikely to create muddy sections. Crampons or microspikes are not required, but a lightweight rain gear is essential for the afternoon drizzle.

The afternoon drizzle slightly elevates the risk of getting lost in fog, a characteristic hazard of the Kuju Mountain Range. Hikers on exposed ridges like Mt. Mimata or Mt. Osen should be prepared for potential visibility reduction. Always carry a map, compass, and GPS. While the Makinoto Pass course is well-maintained, readiness for sudden weather changes in this volcanic area is crucial.

Hypothermia risk is low, but be mindful of sweat during activity and chill during breaks. Daytime summit temperatures will feel between 19 and 23 degrees Celsius. A wicking base layer, a thin fleece for a mid-layer, and a waterproof breathable shell for an outer layer are appropriate. Temperatures will hover around 16 degrees Celsius overnight under clear skies, so bring a headlamp and ample warm clothing if planning to enjoy the starry night.
