Today's conditions on Mount Ishizuchi are excellent for climbing, with clear skies persisting throughout the day. Summit temperatures will rise to around 20°C during the day, accompanied by gentle winds. There is a significant temperature difference of approximately 4°C between the summit and the base, highlighting the need to be aware of elevation-induced temperature changes.

The entire route, including the traverse from Misen to Tengudake, the highest peak in Western Japan, is dry. Notably, the sacred chain sections, such as Ichino-kusari, Nino-kusari, and Sanno-kusari, are not wet. The terrain consists of exposed rock ridges, so maintain three points of contact for safe ascent. Despite the favorable conditions, complacency is dangerous as accidents on the chains are frequent.

While the perceived temperature at the summit will be comfortable during the day, it may drop to around 15°C in the mornings, evenings, or during breaks on exposed ridges. It is essential to carry a moisture-wicking base layer, a light mid-layer, and a windproof shell jacket. Although the risk of lightning, strong winds, or hypothermia is low, rain gear is still mandatory for unexpected weather changes. Crampons or chain spikes are not required. Conditions will remain stable overnight, with no extreme drops in temperature, but a headlamp should be prepared for any activity after sunset.
