Ground conditions will remain wet to muddy. Expect muddy sections, especially in the Kitamuma and Minaminuma wetlands. Rocky areas will be slippery when wet, requiring careful footing to prevent falls. Visibility is currently 4.2km, but the ongoing precipitation increases the likelihood of dense fog. Tomuraushi is known for its high risk of getting lost in fog, especially in the Rock Garden and extensive high-alpine areas. Exercise extreme caution with navigation. While there are no signs of rapid weather changes akin to the 2009 incident, always remember that conditions here are comparable to Honshu's 3000-meter peaks.

Essential gear includes a wicking base layer, a mid-layer like fleece, and waterproof breathable rain gear (jacket and pants). Carry an insulating layer such as a lightweight down or synthetic jacket for warmth during breaks. Waterproof gloves and a hat are also recommended. Crampons or microspikes are not necessary. While winds are relatively calm, the continuous rain poses a significant hypothermia risk. Given the long course and challenging conditions, attempting a day trip is considered high risk. It is strongly advised to avoid strenuous activities or consider rescheduling based on your physical condition and experience.
