Sapporo Teine summit this morning is cloudy with a temperature of 16.9 degrees Celsius, feeling like 17.7 degrees. There is about a 3-degree difference in temperature between the summit and the base. Temperatures are expected to gradually rise throughout the day, potentially exceeding 20 degrees in the afternoon. However, the perceived temperature at the summit can drop when exposed to wind. For hiking, a moisture-wicking base layer is essential. Always carry a light fleece or synthetic mid-layer for warmth during breaks and wind protection, along with a waterproof breathable shell jacket.

Ground conditions are primarily dry at present. However, due to high humidity, shaded areas, dense vegetation, and particularly on the steep slopes of the Highland Zone, expect some slippery sections and muddy spots caused by overnight moisture or morning dew. Be cautious of loose rocks and maintain careful footing, especially on descents.

The risk of thunderstorms is low, and winds are calm, so there is no concern about upper lift operations being suspended due to strong winds. Visibility is excellent, promising good views of Sapporo city and Ishikari Bay. While the significant risk of hypothermia is low, be mindful of sweating during activity and cooling during breaks.

Mild weather is expected to continue into the evening and night, though temperatures will gradually decrease. There is ample time to complete daytime activities, but always carry essential gear such as a headlamp.
