As of 7:45 AM, Kitadake summit is thinly cloudy with a temperature of 6.1℃, feeling like 4.7℃ due to the chill. Visibility is poor, less than 1km. While the base at Hirogawara is mostly clear, a significant temperature difference of 8.6℃ exists, highlighting the rapid environmental changes with elevation.

The morning will remain thinly cloudy to cloudy, but clouds will thicken towards noon, with light drizzle expected by 3 PM. Daytime temperatures will hover between 7℃ and 8℃, but even with light winds around 0.41m/s, the perceived temperature can drop to around 5℃. Despite minimal precipitation, high humidity at 94% and impending drizzle will make ground conditions generally wet. Rocky sections, particularly around Hachihonba-no-Koru, will be slippery, increasing the risk of falls, thus requiring extremely careful footing.

For today's climb, a quick-drying base layer, a light fleece mid-layer, and a waterproof-breathable outer shell are essential. Rain gear is mandatory, and gloves and a warm hat should be carried. There is no concern for snow or ice, but choose hiking boots with good grip for wet rock. While the risk of thunderstorms and strong winds is low, hypothermia remains a constant threat. Your body can lose heat rapidly if wet from the afternoon drizzle. It is advisable to start your ascent early and complete difficult sections while visibility is relatively better in the morning.

Light drizzle will persist into the evening, with temperatures dropping to around 5℃ at night. Visibility is unlikely to improve. Your climbing plan should account for poor daytime visibility and wet terrain, allowing ample time for ascent and descent.
