The summit of Mt. Ishizuchi is currently under thin clouds with a temperature of 14.9°C and 98% humidity. Winds are light. There is a nearly 4°C temperature difference from the base. Thin clouds will persist through the morning, but precipitation probability rises significantly by noon, with light mist expected from around 3 PM. Current visibility is 1.5km, which may further deteriorate with the mist. No significant alert values were detected by the automated risk assessment, but continuous monitoring of visibility and temperature changes is advised.

During daytime activities, the afternoon mist will make the KUSARIBAM (chains) such as Ichino-Kusari, Nino-Kusari, and Sanno-Kusari wet and slippery. Slips and falls are common on these chains, especially in wet conditions, demanding extreme caution. Consider using the bypass routes if unsure. Ground conditions will be generally wet. Crampons and chain spikes are not necessary, but waterproof and breathable rain gear (jacket and pants) is essential.

While temperatures will hover around 15°C, high humidity, wet conditions from mist, and sweat-induced chilling during breaks pose a risk of hypothermia. The perceived temperature is close to the actual air temperature, but getting wet will rapidly lower it. Wear a moisture-wicking base layer, a thin fleece or wool mid-layer, and a waterproof/breathable shell as an outer layer, adjusting layers frequently to manage body temperature. A helmet and gloves are also effective for the chains. Risks of lightning and strong winds are low.

Precipitation is expected to cease by evening, but temperatures will drop to around 12°C. For those planning nighttime activities, ensure you have a headlamp and robust cold weather protection.
