Currently, Tomamu Summit is shrouded in fog, with visibility less than 1km. Views from the Unkai Terrace are obscured. There is a temperature difference of about 4°C between the summit and the base, with the summit at 9°C and a feels like temperature of 7.6°C. The humidity is very high at 98%, maintaining damp conditions.

Daytime temperatures on the summit are expected to rise from around 10°C to the low 13°C range, but high humidity will persist. On hiking trails like those towards North Burn and Riverside, the ground will be wet and potentially slippery. It is essential to proceed cautiously in poor visibility. Gusts are forecast to reach up to 7.5m/s, but this is not strong enough to significantly impede movement.

The current feels like temperature is 7.6°C. For activities, a quick-drying base layer, a fleece mid-layer, and a waterproof/breathable outer shell are essential. Full rain gear should be carried. As the ground will remain wet, choose non-slip hiking boots and pay close attention to your footing. While the risk of frostbite is low, hypothermia due to sweat chilling is a concern in these humid conditions.

Temperatures will drop to around 6°C overnight. It is advisable to limit activities to daylight hours and either await improved visibility or reconsider your plans.
