Light drizzle is expected around 9 AM, followed by continuous cloudy weather throughout the day. The perceived temperature near the summit will hover around 5°C. There is approximately a 5°C difference between the summit and the base, making the summit colder than anticipated.

Ground conditions are generally wet due to drizzle and high humidity. Particular caution is advised on slippery scree sections, such as those found on the Onneto Course. Winds will primarily be from the South to South-Southeast, directing sulfur gases from the fumaroles downwind. With poor visibility, identifying gas sources becomes difficult. Exercise extreme vigilance regarding wind direction and gas accumulation, especially around the crater lakes and near fumarole areas.

For protection against the cold, wear a moisture-wicking base layer, a mid-layer like fleece, and a waterproof-breathable outer shell. Full rain gear is essential. Given the persistent poor visibility, carrying a headlamp is also recommended. While wind speeds are low, with gusts below 7m/s, the risk of hypothermia due to getting wet in the cool, humid conditions is present. The risk of lightning is low. Temperatures will drop further in the evening, reaching as low as 2°C overnight. It is crucial to limit activities to daylight hours and make an early decision to turn back if conditions deteriorate.
