Current summit conditions show clear skies with a temperature of 10.7 degrees Celsius and a gentle wind speed of 1.06 meters per second. The temperature difference from the base is 5 degrees Celsius. Temperatures are expected to rise further during the day, reaching approximately 15.2 degrees Celsius at the summit around 3 PM. Winds will remain calm throughout the day. Visibility is excellent, exceeding 20 kilometers, offering splendid views of Hakkoda.

Ground conditions are predicted to be largely dry due to the lack of precipitation and continuous clear weather. However, Hakkoda is known for its numerous wetlands and crater lakes. Particularly along routes such as from Tamoyachidake to Mount Odake, and around areas rich in alpine flora, the ground may be wet or partially muddy due to previous moisture or spring water. Caution is advised in slippery sections.

The perceived temperature will range from about 9 to 14 degrees Celsius during the day. A quick-drying base layer and a light mid-layer will be sufficient for active hiking. However, carry a windproof outer layer for breaks or when exposed on ridges. Rain gear, a full jacket and pants set, is essential for any unexpected weather changes. There is no snow cover, so crampons or microspikes are not necessary.

The risk of lightning, strong winds, and hypothermia is low. Maximum gusts are forecast to be around 8.6 meters per second, which is not considered strong wind. With relatively high temperatures, the concern for hypothermia is minimal. The probability of precipitation is also low, so lightning is unlikely. However, near Jigokunuma, there is a possibility of toxic volcanic gases accumulating depending on wind direction; avoid prolonged stays and approach from upwind.
