Current conditions at Mt. Daisen's summit (Misen) show cloudy skies with a felt temperature of 9.3°C. Throughout the day, strong drizzle and light rain will continue intermittently, further reducing visibility from the current 2km. There is about a 6°C temperature difference between the summit and the base, meaning consistently low felt temperatures near the top. The Natsuyama Hiking Trail is generally wet, with slippery tree roots and rocks, demanding extreme caution with foot placement. Muddy sections will also be prevalent.

The combination of precipitation, low temperatures, and high humidity directly leads to a risk of hypothermia if clothing becomes wet during activity. Ensure your base layer is quick-drying, your mid-layer is a light fleece, and your outer layer consists of waterproof and breathable rain gear (jacket and pants). Carry spare warm clothing to maintain body temperature during breaks. Wind gusts of up to 12.7m/s have been observed, and exposed ridges will be susceptible to strong winds.

Dense fog from the Sea of Japan will significantly obscure visibility, especially around the Misen summit. The area towards Kengamine from Misen includes many collapsed terrains, making casual travel dangerous in poor weather. It is advisable to turn back at Misen today rather than attempting the traverse. Drizzle and rain are expected to continue into the evening, with a 100% chance of light rain overnight, making a prompt descent before sunset strongly recommended.
