There is approximately a 6℃ temperature difference from the base, necessitating appropriate gear for the elevation. Winds are light at 0.64m/s, indicating a calm morning. With no precipitation or snow, dry trail conditions are expected across the range.

Daytime temperatures are forecast to rise to 11.2℃ by noon and 12.1℃ by 3 PM. For activity during these hours, carry a quick-drying long-sleeve base layer, a thin fleece or synthetic mid-layer, and a windproof and waterproof shell jacket as an outer layer. While moving, the base and outer layers may suffice, but always carry the mid-layer for breaks or if the wind picks up in the afternoon. Crampons or microspikes are not needed. Rain gear is essential.

Risks of strong winds, thunderstorms, and hypothermia are low during the day. Wind gusts will remain around 5.7m/s at most, and temperatures are mild, minimizing hypothermia concerns. Although precipitation probability rises temporarily, no rainfall is expected, indicating a low chance of thunderstorms. However, be mindful of the restricted access zone around the crater lake Okama, and be considerate of other visitors due to the likely mix of hikers and tourists.

In the afternoon, the wind direction will shift from west to southeast, and by evening, wind speeds will increase to 2.5m/s with gusts up to 9.6m/s. The ridge traverse from Kattadake to Kumanodake and Jizosan will be susceptible to these changing winds and gusts. Conclude your activities early in the day and avoid staying on the exposed ridges in the evening.
