There is a significant temperature difference of over 11°C compared to the foothills' 19.6°C. Drizzle will continue through the morning, with precipitation expected until around noon. Ground conditions are generally wet to muddy. The Nuka-biragawa Course involves over 20 river crossings, and this drizzle and precipitation likely mean increased water levels. Exercise extreme caution when crossing rivers, carefully assessing water volume and footing, and avoid forced crossings.

Daytime felt temperatures will remain low, so a moisture-wicking base layer, a fleece or lightweight down mid-layer, and a waterproof-breathable shell as an outer layer are essential. Waterproof gloves should also be carried. Weather is expected to improve to mostly clear around 3 PM, but gusts of up to 9.6 m/s are possible at times. You may feel temporary strong winds on the ridges.

Overnight, precipitation will cease, and temperatures will drop to around 3°C. Even when staying at Poroshiri Hut, do not neglect cold weather preparations for sleeping. The risk of hypothermia is always present. As this is an active period for brown bears, thorough preparation and information gathering are crucial.
