There is an 8.8°C temperature difference between the summit and the base, highlighting the impact of elevation. Throughout the day, partly cloudy skies are expected, with temperatures rising to between 6.6°C and 7.3°C. Winds will be from the southeast, with gusts potentially reaching up to 10.6m/s, but this is not strong enough to impede movement.

Ground conditions are anticipated to be generally dry as no precipitation is forecasted. However, Yatsugatake's rocky terrain means that shaded areas or wind-exposed sections may still retain some dampness or mud. Specifically, on the chains of Bunzaburo-one and Jizo-one ridges, rocks may be cold or wet in shaded spots, making footing slippery. Exercise extreme caution, choose your steps carefully, and maintain three points of contact.

Essential layering includes a quick-drying base layer, a fleece or light down mid-layer, and a windproof and waterproof outer shell. Carry additional insulation for breaks. Gloves, a hat, full rain gear, and a headlamp are mandatory. Crampons or chain spikes are not required. The risk of lightning is low. However, temperatures will drop after sunset, reaching 0.8°C by late night with a forecast of light drizzle. Avoid night hiking and plan to complete your descent during daylight hours.
