The current snow depth is 5cm. With daytime temperatures above freezing, snowmelt will progress, leaving the ground generally wet and muddy. On the route from Asahidake Ropeway's Sugatami Station to the summit, expect a mix of melting residual snow and wet, slippery rock sections. Around the Fumarole Group (Jigokudani), visibility will be poor due to gas and moisture, further lowering the perceived temperature. Waterproof and breathable rainwear is essential. Layering with a quick-drying base layer and insulating fleece is crucial, along with gloves and a hat to maintain body heat.

Light crampons or microspikes may be beneficial depending on the specific snow conditions. The risk of hypothermia is high today; therefore, staying dry and having adequate insulation are vital for safety. Although no significant alerts were detected by the automated risk assessment, continuous monitoring of visibility and temperature changes is paramount. If conditions deteriorate, making a prompt decision to turn back is crucial. Conditions are expected to clear overnight, with fair skies by dawn, but temperatures will drop to around 3℃.
