As of 07:30, the summit of Tokachidake is cloudy with a temperature of 0.8℃, feeling like -2.1℃. Throughout the day, light drizzle to rain will persist, with temperatures ranging from 1.2℃ to 0.2℃. While wind speeds are moderate, gusts are expected to reach up to 10.4 m/s during the day.

Due to continuous precipitation, ground conditions will be generally wet to muddy. Particular caution is advised on the exposed rocky ridges along the Bokakudai Course leading to the summit, as they will be wet and slippery. Above the tree line on Tokachidake, strong winds and precipitation will further lower the felt temperature.

As felt temperatures will remain below freezing all day, a quick-drying base layer, a fleece or light down for a mid-layer, and a waterproof-breathable shell for the outer layer are essential. Warm gloves and a hat are also crucial. Since there is no snow accumulation, crampons or microspikes are not required, but wear hiking boots with good grip suitable for slippery surfaces.

While the risk of lightning is low, the felt temperature will remain below freezing throughout the day, increasing the risk of hypothermia if you continue to be wet. Especially from evening onwards, temperatures will drop to -1.9℃ and gusts will strengthen to 17.6 m/s, therefore, day trips are recommended. Avoid prolonged exposure and plan for an early return.
