Currently, Kuju Mountains summit experiences light rain with a temperature of 12.6℃, feeling like 10℃. Visibility is extremely poor, less than 1km. There is approximately a 5℃ temperature difference between the summit and the base. Rain is expected to continue throughout the day, intensifying to moderate by 12:00 and heavy by 15:00, with a 100% chance of precipitation all day.

Gusts are forecast to strengthen from 18.1m/s to 21.8m/s during the day, potentially reaching 22.5m/s overnight. Such strong winds will make ridge travel extremely difficult and increase the risk of losing balance. Exposed ridges, particularly along the Makinoto Pass Course, will be subjected to prolonged periods of strong wind and rain.

Due to continuous rainfall and high humidity, ground conditions are wet throughout the area. Many sections of the trails are muddy, and rocky areas are slippery. With persistently poor visibility, the risk of getting lost in the fog, a unique hazard of the Kuju Mountains, is exceptionally high. Carrying a GPS device in conjunction with a map and compass is essential.

For body temperatures around 10℃ in rainy and windy conditions, a quick-drying base layer, a mid-layer such as fleece, and waterproof and breathable rain gear (jacket and pants) are mandatory. The risk of hypothermia increases sharply if one gets wet, so always carry spare warm clothing. Today's climbing demands extreme caution even from experienced mountaineers. Beginners should consider canceling their ascent.
