As of 7 AM, Tomuraushi summit is clear with a temperature of 5.1℃ and light winds at 0.35 m/s. The temperature difference from the base is a significant 12.2℃, highlighting the elevation's chill. Temperatures will rise to 9.6℃ by noon, but constant body temperature management is crucial during activity. A wicking base layer, a fleece or similar mid-layer, and a windproof/waterproof outer shell are essential.

The summit still holds a snow depth of 72 cm. While the clear skies and rising temperatures will soften the snow, extensive snowfields remain, especially around the Kitamura and Minaminuma sky wetlands and the Lock Garden. There is a risk of post-holing or slipping, so carrying light crampons or microspikes is mandatory. Muddy sections are also expected where snow has melted. Visibility is excellent at over 20 km, but this mountain range is prone to sudden weather changes, as tragically demonstrated by the 2009 accident. Always pay close attention to changes in the sky.

Winds will pick up slightly in the afternoon, but gusts up to 9.5 m/s should not impede movement. However, Tomuraushi is a long course, making a day trip challenging and extending exposure. Temperatures will drop to around 3℃ in the evening, increasing the risk of hypothermia during stops. Sufficient warm clothing, action food, and emergency rations are indispensable.
