Temperatures are expected to gradually rise throughout the day, reaching approximately 14 degrees Celsius near the summit by 15:00. However, westerly winds are forecast to persist at around 5 meters per second, with gusts exceeding 15 meters per second. This will make the perceived temperature on the ridge significantly colder than the actual air temperature.

When ascending via the Onneto Course, hikers should expect strong winds on the exposed ridge sections and scree slopes near the summit after exiting the treeline. There is a risk of losing balance and slipping, requiring careful footing. Additionally, around the fumarole groups on the crater rim, sulfur gas may drift onto the trail depending on wind direction. While westerly winds are generally forecast, constant vigilance for wind shifts is crucial. If a strong sulfur odor is detected, it is essential to leave the area promptly.

A forecast for light drizzle around noon indicates minimal precipitation, so ground conditions will largely remain dry. Nevertheless, the combination of rising temperatures and light rain could temporarily moisten rocks and scree. For wind protection, a waterproof and breathable shell jacket is indispensable, in addition to moisture-wicking base layers and fleece. During breaks, it is vital to take measures to prevent body cooling.
