The summit of Mt. Hakusan is mostly clear with an observed temperature of 5.7℃, feeling like 2.7℃. While daytime temperatures may rise to the 8s, sudden gusts reaching nearly 15m/s are expected. On exposed ridges, the wind chill could drop below freezing. Essential layering includes a wicking base layer, a fleece mid-layer, and a waterproof/windproof shell. A puffy jacket for breaks, gloves, and a hat are also mandatory.

Ground conditions are mostly dry with no snow cover. However, routes like Sandobō Shindō may have wet or muddy sections in shaded areas, valleys, or near water sources. Crampons or microspikes are not required, but footwear with good grip is advisable.

While thunderstorms are unlikely, constant vigilance for strong gusts on the ridges is crucial throughout the day. Approaches to peaks like Gozen-mine and Ōnanji-mine could present tripping hazards due to these sudden winds. Expect congestion around Murodō due to the favorable weather; plan your ascent and descent with ample time.

Gusts will persist into the night, with forecasts indicating over 18m/s by 3 AM tomorrow morning. Avoid any activity on the mountain after sunset.
