Mount Meakan summit is currently cloudy with visibility below 1km, and no significant improvement is expected throughout the day. The current feels-like temperature at the summit is 6.4 degrees Celsius. While the temperature is forecast to rise to a peak of 11.8 degrees Celsius around noon, the feels-like temperature will remain around 7 degrees Celsius due to the wind. After 3 PM, temperatures will drop to 9.3 degrees Celsius, with feels-like temperatures in the 4s. The temperature difference between the summit and the base remains approximately 5 degrees Celsius.

Trails are snow-free with no precipitation expected. However, due to cloudy skies and high humidity, the paths will remain generally wet. Particular caution is needed on the volcanic scree sections of the Onneto Course, which will be slippery. Combined with poor visibility, careful footing is paramount. Crampons or microspikes are not required, but sturdy trekking shoes with good grip are essential.

Winds from the SSW to S will see gusts up to 14 m/s during the day. Near the fumarole groups, there is a risk of sulfur gas accumulation depending on wind direction. In low visibility, inhaling volcanic gases can impair judgment and increase the risk of acute poisoning. Be prepared to turn back if conditions deteriorate. While the risk of hypothermia is low, carrying a windproof and waterproof shell along with a light insulating layer is advised.
