Today, Mount Iwate is expected to see continued clear skies with rising temperatures during the day. However, the summit's felt temperature was a chilly 3.5℃ this morning. While daytime temperatures will climb to the 11℃ range, the inherent risk of strong winds on this isolated peak must always be considered. Although gusts were observed at 7.1 m/s at 07:00, which is not prohibitive for activity, areas above the tree line are inherently exposed to wind. Current visibility is temporarily below 1 km, requiring extra caution on the Okachi-meguri trail around the Yakushidake Crater, where loose rocks on the crater rim demand focused footing.

The ground is predominantly dry due to no recent precipitation or snowfall, with zero snow depth. However, high humidity may result in some damp areas. Crampons or microspikes are not required. For cold protection, always carry a moisture-wicking base layer, a mid-layer such as fleece, and a windproof, waterproof outer shell. Gloves and a hat are also essential.

While the risk of thunderstorms is low, temperatures will drop in the evening, reaching 3.5℃ at the summit overnight. To mitigate the risk of hypothermia, ensure your descent is completed before sunset. Always check the volcanic alert level during your activity and be prepared for any changes.
