Mount Akadake summit is under light cloud with visibility less than 1 kilometer, indicating dense fog. The temperature is 1.5 degrees Celsius, feeling like minus 0.8 degrees Celsius, with high humidity at 98 percent, making conditions damp. While the foot of the mountain around Minoto-guchi experiences a milder 8.8 degrees Celsius, the significant elevation difference results in a sharp temperature drop at the summit.

Dense fog is expected to persist throughout the day, with only brief periods of partial sun. The rock sections, including the kusari-ba (chained sections) on Bunzaburo-one and Jizo-one ridges, are wet. Combined with poor visibility, this significantly increases the risk of slipping and falling. Extreme caution is advised. Temperatures will drop further from afternoon into evening, reaching minus 0.6 degrees Celsius by 9 PM. Gusts exceeding 11 meters per second are forecast during the day, drastically lowering the perceived temperature on the exposed ridges.

Essential layering for activity includes a moisture-wicking base layer, a fleece or light down mid-layer, and a windproof/waterproof outer shell. A down jacket should be carried for breaks or worsening weather to prevent hypothermia. Although there is no snow, wet rocks and soil may freeze overnight, so carrying microspikes is a prudent consideration.
