Currently, Mt. Kita summit experiences light rain, with a temperature of 3.9°C and a feels-like temperature of 1.9°C. Visibility is less than 1km, enveloped in dense fog. The foot of the mountain at Hirogawara also sees strong drizzle. Throughout the day, light rain or drizzle will persist, with temperatures hovering between 1-3°C, making the feels-like temperature near freezing. The ground is generally wet and muddy.

Particular caution is advised on the rocky sections near Hachibahonba no Koru. The combination of poor visibility and wet conditions significantly increases the risk of slipping and falling. Route finding on the ridge also demands extreme care.

Essential gear includes full waterproof and insulated clothing. A wicking base layer, a fleece or light down mid-layer, and a waterproof-breathable shell are crucial. Waterproof gloves and a hat are also indispensable. The constant risk of hypothermia due to low temperatures, rain, and high humidity necessitates staying dry and being prepared for quick changes if wet. Light drizzle will continue into the evening, clearing to cloudy conditions at night, but temperatures will drop to around 1°C. All mountaineering activities should conclude by early afternoon.
