Daytime temperatures are expected to rise to around 9 degrees Celsius, with mostly clear conditions persisting until midday, offering excellent visibility and pleasant climbing. Routes such as the Shiraneike Pond route from Hirogawara and the ascent towards Hachihonba no Koru are expected to be manageable during the day.

However, light drizzle is forecast to begin around 6 PM, intensifying to rain through the night. By 9 PM, temperatures will drop to 2.8 degrees Celsius with heavy drizzle, and by midnight on May 21st, rain will intensify with 5.2mm of precipitation at 3 degrees Celsius. The rocky sections, particularly around Hachihonba no Koru, will become wet and slippery due to the overnight rain, requiring extreme caution for those planning to traverse them the following day.

Even during the day, the perceived temperature can range from 2 to 8 degrees Celsius with wind exposure. Therefore, a layering system including a base layer, a mid-layer such as fleece, and a wind and waterproof outer shell is essential. Carry an additional insulating layer like a down jacket for breaks or worsening weather. As temperatures drop and rain wets clothing overnight, the risk of hypothermia increases. It is advisable to conclude daytime activities early and seek shelter in a mountain hut. Strong gusts of up to 17.3 m/s are possible early the next morning, necessitating heightened vigilance for ridge travel.
