Niseko Annupuri summit currently reports cloudy skies with a temperature of 4.9℃, feeling like 1.7℃. The base area is 10.9℃, indicating a 6℃ difference. Conditions are expected to improve throughout the day, becoming clear by around 3 PM. Temperatures will rise to 9.1℃ by noon, with gentle southerly winds. Maximum gusts are forecast to reach 13.9m/s around midday. While this is relatively mild for the exposed Niseko Annupuri ridges, be prepared for a significant drop in perceived temperature due to wind chill when accessing the ridge lines.

Ground conditions are primarily dry with zero snow depth. However, melting snow in shaded areas or along watercourses may result in muddy or wet sections. Exposed rock ridges are prevalent, requiring careful footing. Crampons or microspikes are not necessary, but sturdy trekking shoes with good grip are recommended. For layering, a wicking base layer, a fleece or light softshell, and a windproof and waterproof outer shell are appropriate. Especially near the summit and on the ridges, wind exposure can cause the perceived temperature to drop to near freezing during gusts, so always carry adequate insulation.

The risk of thunderstorms is low. However, temperatures will drop sharply in the evening, reaching below freezing overnight and into early morning. If your activity extends into the night, carry a headlamp with spare batteries and additional warm layers like a down jacket to prevent hypothermia. Be mindful of the mixed user environment on the Niseko unified area, where hikers and families may be present on the lower slopes.
