Kitadake summit currently enjoys clear skies with visibility exceeding 20km, offering expansive views. The summit temperature is 2.8°C, feeling like -1.3°C due to wind chill. This is over 11°C colder than the base temperature of 13.9°C, highlighting the significant elevation-induced temperature difference. While daytime summit temperatures may reach up to 7.1°C, actual wind chill temperatures will hover between 0°C and 3°C due to sustained winds around 2m/s and gusts exceeding 10m/s.

There is currently 11cm of snow at the summit. While the snow will soften during the day with rising temperatures, expect icy patches to form overnight and into early morning. Mixed conditions of residual snow and exposed rock will be encountered, particularly on the rocky sections near Hachihonba-no-Koru and in shaded areas along the Shirane-Oike Route. Carrying light crampons or microspikes is recommended. Exercise extreme caution against slips and falls.
