Today on Mount Ishizuchi, expect clear skies and favorable climbing conditions. The current summit temperature is 17.6℃, feeling like 18.2℃, with a noticeable 3.9℃ difference from the base. Temperatures will rise to 22℃ during the day, accompanied by gentle winds, making for a comfortable experience even on exposed ridges.

With no precipitation in the forecast, the ground is dry. The famous Kusariba, or chain sections, are also dry, facilitating easier ascents. However, as the highest peak in Western Japan and a sacred mountain for ascetic practices, Ishizuchi attracts many hikers in summer. Expect potential congestion at the Ichino-kusari, Nino-kusari, and Sanno-kusari chain sections. Exercise patience, maintain distance from other climbers, and ensure three points of contact at all times. Consider using the bypass routes if you wish to avoid crowds.

For daytime activities, a quick-drying base layer combined with a light fleece or long-sleeved shirt is appropriate. Wind gusts will remain mild, peaking at 7.8 m/s, posing minimal risk of strong winds or hypothermia. The chance of thunderstorms is extremely low. Clear skies will persist into the night, with temperatures stabilizing around 15℃. However, carry a wind shell or light down jacket for warmth during breaks or early morning activities. Visibility is excellent, exceeding 20km, promising superb views from Tengudake. Crampons and chain spikes are unnecessary, but always carry rain gear as a precaution.
