The significant temperature difference of over 10°C from the base means the exposed ridges, far above the tree line, will feel considerably colder. While the morning promises clear skies, precipitation probability sharply rises to 76% by 3 PM, indicating a high risk of sudden afternoon thunderstorms, a characteristic danger of the Yari area.

Ground conditions are generally dry and rocky. Crampons or microspikes are not required. However, extreme caution is advised on the exposed, ladder-and-chain sections leading to the summit, known as Hozaki, especially with potential gusts exceeding 10 m/s. Essential layering includes a wicking base layer, a thin fleece or softshell for active wear, and a down jacket for warmth during breaks. Waterproof and breathable rain gear is mandatory and should be worn promptly at the first sign of weather change.

Considering the thunderstorm risk, it is prudent to complete your summit ascent early in the morning and begin your descent by 1 PM at the latest. Pay close attention to your footing and maintain three points of contact on the technical sections. Be prepared for rapid weather deterioration in the afternoon and plan your movements accordingly.
