Mount Poroshiri summit is currently cloudy with a temperature of 12.2℃ and a feels like temperature of 11.7℃. Winds are light, but misty rain is forecast for the afternoon. A 67% chance of 0.5mm precipitation is expected by 12:00, increasing to a 98% chance of 0.2mm light misty rain by 15:00. The temperature difference between the summit and base is over 10℃, making the summit area feel chilly.

For layering, wear a moisture-wicking base layer, a mid-layer such as fleece, and always carry a waterproof breathable outer shell. While moving, you might remove the mid-layer, but the feels like temperature will drop rapidly when you stop. Misty rain can increase the risk of hypothermia, so frequent adjustment of layers and wearing rain gear is essential.

The ground will become wet to muddy due to the misty rain. Particular caution is required on the Nukabira River route, which involves over 20 river crossings, as rocks will become slippery. Consider the possibility of river swelling due to afternoon precipitation and plan your descent before crossings become impassable. Visibility is currently 1.1km but may worsen with misty conditions.

While lightning risk is low, wind gusts of up to 8.3m/s are expected at 15:00. Although not severe enough to hinder movement significantly, wind on a wet body can deplete energy. Temperatures will drop to around 9℃ after sunset, so prepare headlamps and extra warm clothing.
