しかし正午には弱い雨が降り始め、15時頃まで霧雨が続く予報だ。降水量は多くないが、濡れた木道や岩場は非常に滑りやすくなる。特に弥山へのアプローチでは足元に一層の注意が必要だ。アウターは防水透湿性の雨具を必ず携行し、早めの着用を心がけたい。
山頂の体感気温は日中20℃前後で推移するが、雨に濡れることで体感温度は低下する。ベースレイヤーは速乾性、ミッドレイヤーに薄手のフリース、アウターに防水シェルが基本となる。最大突風6.6m/sと強風の心配は少ないが、雨で体が冷えれば低体温症のリスクは高まる。雷の予報はないが夏山の天候急変には警戒が必要だ。
18時以降は降水は止み、薄曇りからほぼ晴れに回復する見込みだ。気温も19℃前後で安定する。日没後の行動を予定する場合は、ヘッドライトと防寒着の準備を怠らないこと。
