Today on Mount Tsukuba, expect partly cloudy to mostly sunny conditions. The summit temperature will rise to the low 20s Celsius by midday, typical for summer. Visibility is excellent, exceeding 20km, offering expansive views of the Kanto Plain. The temperature difference from the base is about 3.6 degrees Celsius; the summit is slightly cooler, but direct sunlight will make it feel similar.

With no precipitation forecast, trails are generally dry. However, high humidity means shaded rocky sections and mossy areas may be damp from dew, posing a slip risk. Exercise extreme caution on rocky sections, particularly along the Shirakumo-bashi Course, where unique rock formations and potentially wet surfaces demand careful foot placement. The risk of heatstroke is elevated for this summer day, so carry ample water and snacks, taking frequent breaks.

Gusts at the summit are expected to strengthen slightly to a maximum of 8m/s around 3 PM. Exposed areas, such as the saddle connecting Nantai-san and Nyotai-san near Miyukigahara, will be more susceptible to wind, potentially lowering the perceived temperature. Therefore, carrying a light wind shell is advisable. A fast-drying base layer is sufficient for active hiking, but be prepared to wear a shell jacket during rests or in windy spots. Always carry a full rain suit with separate top and bottom. Light drizzle is forecast for late night, but this will not affect daytime activities.
