稜線アクセスにおいても、風速は最大突風時で7.8m/s程度と穏やかだが、念のため防風シェルは携行すること。ベースレイヤーに吸汗速乾素材、ミッドレイヤーに薄手のフリースや長袖シャツ、アウターとして防風性のあるシェルがあれば十分に対応できる。低体温症や雷のリスクは低い。特別な装備は不要だ。
夕方以降も天候の大きな崩れはなく、気温は緩やかに下降する。日没後の行動にはヘッドライトを忘れず、行動計画に無理がないよう注意したい。

概要 Overview
北海道虻田郡ニセコ町に位置する標高1,308mのニセコ連峰の主峰。隣接するヒラフ・ビレッジと合わせてニセコ統一エリアを形成し、世界的なパウダースノーリゾートの一翼を担う。比較的緩やかな斜面構成で、ファミリー層・初級者にも親しまれる。
特徴・地形 Features
ヒラフよりやや西側に位置し、北西斜面が中心。ゲレンデは整地ロングコースが豊富で、林間の落ち着いた雰囲気が魅力。山頂部では他エリアとの稜線アクセスも可能。

12月下旬〜3月上旬がパウダーシーズン。3月以降は春雪。サマーシーズンは夏山ハイクも可能。
