The base area at 402m is 14.7°C, indicating a 6°C difference from the summit. Throughout the day, weather is expected to improve from partly cloudy to clear skies. By midday, temperatures will rise to 15.4°C, offering excellent visibility. Access to the ridge lines, a key feature of the Niseko United area, will be comfortable with calm winds, mitigating the typical risks of strong winds and whiteout on the exposed ridge.

However, a significant temperature drop is forecast from evening into early morning. Temperatures are expected to fall by approximately 11°C, from 16.2°C at 3 PM to 5.3°C by 3 AM the following day. An automatic risk assessment highlights this "rapid temperature decrease," necessitating an extra insulating layer. While active, a wicking base layer, light fleece, and waterproof breathable shell are suitable. For breaks or if extending activity past sunset, additional insulation is crucial to prevent hypothermia. Descending before dark is strongly advised.
