Visibility is poor at 1.7 kilometers, and while the average wind speed is 2.86 m/s, gusts reach 18.2 m/s. The temperature difference from the base is 8.5 degrees Celsius, indicating significantly colder conditions at higher elevations. Light rain or drizzle is expected throughout the day, with temperatures around 10 degrees Celsius, but the wind chill will make it feel like 5 to 7 degrees Celsius.

Ground conditions are generally wet due to continuous precipitation. Main routes like Sando (Sabou Shindo) will have many muddy sections, increasing the risk of slipping. Be especially careful on wet rocky terrain. On exposed ridgelines such as Mount Gozenmine, gusts exceeding 18 m/s are anticipated. Combined with dense fog and poor visibility, there is a high risk of disorientation and difficulty in movement, characteristic of Hakusan's "foggy ridges" risk.

Waterproof and breathable rain gear (jacket and pants) and warm layers like fleece are essential for active wear. Carry additional insulation such as a light down jacket for stops to prevent chilling. The low perceived temperature and high humidity, coupled with getting wet, elevate the risk of hypothermia. Keep breaks short and change out of wet clothing promptly to ensure safety.

Drizzle will persist into the evening, with temperatures dropping further to below 5 degrees Celsius at night. Avoid ridgeline travel. Even if staying at a mountain hut like Murodo, ensure you have adequate cold weather gear and dry clothes. Crampons or microspikes are not needed, but trekking poles will aid stability on muddy and wet trails.
