Daytime conditions are expected to remain mostly clear. Temperatures will rise to 7.5°C by 9 AM and reach 10°C by 3 PM. Winds will shift to a southwesterly direction, with gusts potentially reaching 9.1m/s by 3 PM. On the exposed white volcanic gravel slopes above the tree line, there is no shelter from the wind, making the feels-like temperature lower than indicated. No precipitation is forecast, so the ground will be dry. Exercise caution on the slippery volcanic gravel.

Proper layering is essential. A quick-drying base layer, a thin fleece for a mid-layer, and a windproof and waterproof shell jacket for an outer layer are mandatory. Gloves and a hat are also recommended. Carrying a helmet is crucial on active volcano Mount Ontake. Crampons or microspikes are not needed. While the risk of lightning is low, be mindful of localized cloud development during the afternoon transition from partly cloudy to clear skies. Exposed areas around Kengamine will be subject to wind, potentially leading to fatigue.

Temperatures will drop to between 7°C and 3°C in the evening. It is advisable to start early and descend before dusk, leveraging the calm daytime conditions.
