Tomuraushi summit area will experience continuous light rain throughout the day, with perceived temperatures ranging from 3 to 6 degrees Celsius. There is a roughly 9-degree temperature difference compared to the base, indicating cold conditions comparable to 3,000-meter peaks in Honshu. The ground will remain wet to muddy. Particularly in rocky areas like the Rock Garden, wet boulders pose a significant slip and fall risk, demanding careful foot placement.

Current visibility is 1.7km, but it is likely to worsen with persistent light rain. Severe caution is advised against the risk of getting lost in dense fog, a characteristic hazard of Tomuraushi. In the sky wetlands around Kita-numa and Minami-numa, where the terrain can be monotonous, it is easy to lose the trail. Constantly check your map, compass, and GPS to confirm your current location.

While the risk of lightning is low, the combination of light rain and low perceived temperatures presents a moderate risk of hypothermia. Waterproof and breathable rainwear (jacket and pants) is essential. Carry insulating layers such as fleece or down jackets to prevent getting wet and to maintain body temperature during activity and breaks. Gloves and a warm hat are necessary to protect against cold extremities.

Given Tomuraushi's long course, which is challenging for a day trip, be prepared for extended activity by carrying a headlamp, ample warm clothing, and emergency food. Avoid overexertion, and do not hesitate to turn back if weather conditions deteriorate or if you feel unwell.
