Mount Tsukuba is experiencing continuous light rain, with summit temperatures hovering around 14 degrees Celsius. There is approximately a 4-degree difference compared to the base. High humidity and a high probability of precipitation are expected throughout the morning and into the afternoon.

Trail conditions will be generally wet, with muddy sections likely on dirt paths. The rocky sections, particularly on the Shirakumobashi Course and Miyukigahara Course with their unique rock formations, will be very slippery when wet. Thoroughly check your footing and handholds, especially where scrambling is required.

Although the ambient temperature is around 14 degrees Celsius, the combination of rain and high humidity can rapidly lead to hypothermia if you get wet. Wear a wicking base layer, a thin fleece for a mid-layer, and a waterproof-breathable rain jacket and pants as an outer layer. Waterproof gloves are also recommended. While the risk of lightning is low, be vigilant against hypothermia from getting wet and falls due to slippery conditions.

The forecast indicates a temporary cessation of precipitation around 6 PM, but rain is expected to resume overnight. Visibility is currently 3.7km, which is relatively good, but can deteriorate quickly in rain. Even if using the cable car or ropeway, waterproof gear and non-slip footwear are essential for exploring the summit area.
