Tomamu Summit currently enjoys clear skies. Daytime temperatures are expected to rise from 11.9℃ to around 17℃. Winds remain mild, with gusts peaking at 9.6 m/s. The effective temperature will be close to the actual temperature, making for comfortable daytime hiking conditions. There is approximately a 4℃ temperature difference between the summit and the base. When ascending via gondola, be prepared to adjust your clothing accordingly for this temperature change.

Visibility from the Unkai Terrace is excellent, exceeding 20km, promising expansive views. Ground conditions are generally dry due to no recent precipitation and rising daytime temperatures. However, some areas, especially those with dense vegetation or in the early morning, might be damp. The hiking trails are clear, and crampons or chain spikes are not required.

For your activity, wear a moisture-wicking base layer paired with a thin mid-layer, and carry a lightweight shell jacket for wind protection. It can feel chilly during breaks, in shaded areas, or when using the gondola, so adaptable layering is advisable for temperature regulation. While the risk of frostbite is low in summer, temperatures will drop to around 10℃ overnight, necessitating careful consideration of activity times and adequate cold weather gear if planning evening excursions.

Towards night, there is a possibility of light drizzle in the early hours. Although the risk of thunderstorms is low, rain gear is an essential item to carry at all times. Unlike the comfortable daytime conditions, night-time activities demand thorough preparation for cold protection and visibility.
