Current conditions at Naebasan summit show mostly clear skies with a temperature of 8.9°C, feeling like 7.3°C. The base area is 15.7°C, a significant difference of 6.8°C. Visibility at the summit is already below 1km, indicating existing fog. The forecast for today is partly cloudy to cloudy, with temperatures hovering around 10°C. Winds remain light, but the probability of precipitation increases significantly in the afternoon.

Today, particular caution is required when traversing the vast high-altitude wetland on the summit plateau of Naebasan. Current visibility is very poor, posing a high risk of getting lost in dense fog. The wetland, dotted with numerous ponds (ike-to), demands strict adherence to marked boardwalks; stepping off them can lead to falls, injuries, or damage to fragile vegetation. Constant navigation using GPS and maps is essential for safe passage.

Ground conditions will remain wet due to high humidity, even with minimal rainfall. Boardwalks and rocky sections may be slippery. The estimated sensible temperature at 2143.68m will be around 7°C to 10°C during the day. For layering, a wicking base layer, a mid-layer such as fleece or a light down jacket, and a waterproof-breathable outer shell (rain gear) are indispensable. Adjust your layers frequently to prevent hypothermia. The risk of thunderstorms is low.

Temperatures are predicted to drop to around 7°C by evening and into the night, accompanied by increasing winds with gusts exceeding 10 m/s. Light drizzle is expected in the early hours of June 25th. It is strongly advised to complete your daytime activities and descend before darkness falls.
