The current conditions on Mount Tokachidake summit show a light drizzle with an air temperature of 3.2℃, feeling like 0.7℃. Drizzle is expected to continue throughout the day, with temperatures rising to a maximum of 5.2℃. However, due to persistent precipitation and high humidity, the perceived temperature will remain low. The rocky sections, especially along the Bogakudai Course and around the Taisho Crater, will be wet and slippery from the drizzle. Extreme caution is advised for foot placement.

Ground conditions are generally wet to muddy. Waterproof hiking boots are essential. While wind speeds are relatively low, with gusts up to 6.7 m/s, the constant wetness poses a significant risk of hypothermia. Proper layering is crucial: a wicking base layer, an insulating mid-layer such as fleece or a light down jacket, and a waterproof and breathable outer shell (rain jacket and pants) are mandatory. Gloves and a warm hat should also be carried.

Although there are no significant risks of lightning or strong winds, visibility may temporarily decrease due to the drizzle. Proceed with caution, especially during descent, as there is a constant risk of slipping and falling.

Light drizzle will persist into the evening, but precipitation is expected to cease by night, clearing to cloudy skies. However, temperatures will drop to near 0℃ overnight, so carry sufficient insulating layers and maintain strict body temperature management if your activity extends into the evening.
