Mount Akadake summit is experiencing light cloud cover with visibility under 1km. While the base is mostly clear, the summit temperature is a cool 8.3°C, a nearly 9°C difference from the lower elevations. Poor visibility will persist through the morning. Conditions are expected to improve to mostly clear by midday, but winds will intensify, with gusts exceeding 15m/s from noon into the afternoon. These strong gusts could unbalance climbers on exposed ridges, demanding careful movement.

Ground conditions are primarily dry to wet, with some muddy sections due to recent moisture, but no precipitation is currently observed. There is no residual snow, indicating that rocky terrain is the dominant surface. On the Bunzaburo-one and Jizo-one routes, exercise extreme caution on the chain sections due to poor visibility and potentially damp rock. The risk of route loss due to dense fog is elevated, so ensure diligent use of GPS and maps.

The perceived temperature at 2893m, considering wind chill, is currently around -6.7°C during gusts. From noon through the afternoon, with gusts over 15m/s, the perceived temperature could drop to between -11°C and -13°C. Essential layering includes a wicking base layer, a fleece mid-layer, and a waterproof, windproof outer shell. An additional insulating layer is recommended for breaks or exposed ridges. Rain gear is mandatory. While crampons or microspikes are not needed, gloves are advised for protection on the rocky terrain and to mitigate the risk of falls. The risk of hypothermia is significant; ensure thorough wet weather and cold protection, especially during rest periods or unexpected stops.

Temperatures will continue to drop in the evening, with conditions shifting from light cloud to overcast. Perceived temperatures will become even colder, making post-sunset activity highly inadvisable.
