Current conditions on Misen summit are clear with visibility exceeding 20km, offering excellent views of the Japan Sea. The summer climbing trail is mostly dry, but conditions will change after noon. Light drizzle is forecast for 3 PM, which will temporarily make sections of the trail wet. Particular caution is advised for muddy areas in shaded or forested zones.

In the morning, temperatures will be around 13 degrees Celsius with light winds, resulting in an effective temperature of about 10 degrees Celsius, comfortable for activity. However, by early afternoon, gusty winds could drop the perceived temperature to as low as 3.5 degrees Celsius. Combined with the afternoon drizzle, a proper layering system is crucial. This should include a quick-drying base layer, a fleece or light down mid-layer, and a windproof and waterproof shell as an outer layer.

As indicated by the automatic risk assessment, a temperature drop of 7 degrees Celsius is expected within the forecast period. Be prepared for sudden changes in conditions by carrying an extra insulating layer from the start. While crampons or microspikes are not necessary, full rain gear (jacket and pants) is essential for the afternoon drizzle. Although lightning risk is low, the combination of strong winds from the Japan Sea and afternoon drizzle increases the risk of hypothermia, so vigilance is required. Morning conditions are favorable for climbing, but considering the afternoon weather deterioration, an early start and descent are recommended. Timely decisions to turn back are paramount.
