Kuju Mountains will experience misty drizzle throughout the day. The summit area is cloudy with a temperature of 12.7°C and a very high humidity of 99%. The perceived temperature is slightly lower at 11.8°C, but it will drop sharply if you get wet. Visibility will be poor, especially on the ridge leading from the Makinoto Pass course towards Mount Nakadake. The ground is wet, and with light drizzle expected from noon and light rain in the afternoon, many sections will be muddy. Rocks and boardwalks will be slippery.

Appropriate waterproof and thermal gear is essential. Wear a quick-drying base layer, a thin fleece for a mid-layer, and a waterproof-breathable rain jacket and pants as an outer layer. Do not forget to carry gloves and a hat. Crampons or microspikes are not necessary. Wind speeds will remain around 3m/s at most during the day, with gusts up to 9.2m/s, so strong winds will not restrict movement.

However, the risk of getting lost due to fog is moderate to high. Constantly check your map and compass or GPS and proceed cautiously. Pay particular attention to avoiding losing the route in the complex terrain around Mount Nakadake and Mount Kuju. The risk of hypothermia is also moderate. As your body will lose heat quickly if you remain wet, take frequent breaks and consume warm food and drinks to maintain body temperature. It is advisable to finish your activities early in the day and avoid venturing out in the evening.
