The base area is experiencing drizzle at 8.1 degrees, indicating a significant temperature difference. Forecasts indicate temperatures around 0 degrees Celsius with continuous light drizzle throughout the day, intensifying into rain by evening and dropping below freezing overnight. This persistent cold and wet condition poses an extremely high risk of hypothermia. A wicking base layer, a fleece or lightweight down mid-layer, and a waterproof-breathable shell are essential.

Ground conditions include 26 centimeters of snow, mixed with wet residual snow and muddy sections due to the rain. Particularly in areas like the Rock Garden with its massive boulders, the combination of wet rocks and remaining snow makes for slippery terrain, requiring extreme caution. The continuous 1-kilometer visibility and drizzle forecast suggest a high risk of getting lost in dense fog. Tomuraushi Mountain is a long course that is difficult to complete in a day; poor visibility, cold, and wet conditions will accelerate fatigue and impair judgment.

Given the residual snow and slippery rock sections, microspikes or light crampons are mandatory. Gusts will reach about 10 meters per second during the day, exceeding 20 meters per second overnight. Under these conditions, the risk of hypothermia and getting lost is severe, therefore, entry into the mountain today is not recommended.
