There is no snow cover on the ground, and with rising daytime temperatures, the ground will be generally dry, but some areas may have moist soil or mud. This is especially true on the gentle to moderate long courses that form the core of the northwest slopes, where lingering meltwater should be anticipated.

Around noon, the wind direction will shift to northerly, and wind speeds will increase. Gusts of 9.5 m/s are expected at 12:00, rising to 10.9 m/s by 15:00. These winds will significantly lower the perceived temperature, especially in areas with ridge access, which is a key feature of Niseko Annupuri. Strong winds and potential whiteout on the ridge are specific risks to this area and require particular caution in the afternoon. Exertion in strong winds depletes energy and impairs judgment.

The automated risk assessment indicates a sharp temperature drop of 10℃ during the forecast period. After daytime activities, temperatures will fall significantly from evening to night, making it essential to carry an extra layer of insulation. A wicking base layer, a thin fleece or long-sleeved shirt as a mid-layer, and a windproof and waterproof shell as an outer layer are recommended. For the afternoon winds and overnight chill, a warmer fleece or down jacket should also be carried. Crampons or microspikes are not necessary due to the absence of snow, but rain gear is essential for wind protection.
