The temperature difference from the base is 12.5°C, making warm layers essential on the ridge. The forecast for the day is mostly clear to clear skies, with temperatures around 9°C and light winds, gusting up to 9.5 m/s at most. This makes for a suitable day for mountain activity.

Snow depth remains at 65 cm, but rapid melting is expected at these temperatures. Around the Kitama and Minaminuma wetlands, significant muddying due to meltwater will be present, making footing very slippery, and caution is needed for post-holing. Exposed rocky areas like the Rock Garden will also be wet. Crampons are not necessary, but trekking poles will be useful for balance and checking snow depth.

For layering, wear a moisture-wicking long-sleeve base layer, a light fleece or down jacket as a mid-layer, and a waterproof-breathable shell as an outer layer. Be prepared to put on your outer layer during breaks or when wind picks up, as the feels like temperature will drop. While the risk of hypothermia is low, be mindful of sweat cooling. Always remember that Mount Tomuraushi is a long-distance, remote area with weather conditions comparable to 3000-meter peaks in Honshu, and plan your trip accordingly. Temperatures will drop to 2-5°C in the evening, but winds will further decrease, and night weather is expected to remain stable.
