Ishizuchi-san summit currently reports mostly clear skies with a temperature of 10.4°C, feeling like 8.5°C. The temperature difference from the base is approximately 4°C. Expect partly cloudy to cloudy conditions during the day, but the chance of precipitation is extremely low. Winds will remain light throughout the day, with maximum gusts around 8m/s, posing minimal impact on your ascent.

Ground conditions are dry with no snow cover. The famous Kusariba (chains) on Ichinokusa, Ninokusa, and Sannokusa are exposed and dry, allowing for a comfortable climb. However, these chains are known for frequent slip-and-fall accidents, even in dry conditions. Maintain firm footing and handholds, and proceed with extreme caution.

For layering, a wicking base layer combined with a light fleece or synthetic vest as a mid-layer should suffice during activity. However, always carry a windproof and waterproof outer shell for breaks or exposed areas like Tengudake. Gloves are recommended for grip on the chains and protection from the cool air. Risks of lightning, strong winds, and hypothermia are low today, but temperatures will drop to single digits at night. Day trips are strongly advised.
