Mount Haku offers clear skies and calm conditions throughout the day, promising excellent visibility of over 20km from the summit. Panoramic views from Gozen-mine and O'nanjimine peaks are expected to be spectacular. While the base temperature is 17.9°C, the summit registers 8.3°C, a difference of approximately 9.6°C. Do not be deceived by the warmth at the base; ensure your gear accounts for this significant elevation-induced temperature drop.

There is no snow cover, and major routes such as the Sabo-Shindo are in dry condition, with exposed rocky sections posing no issues. Crampons or microspikes are not required. Gusts may reach 9m/s in the afternoon, so pay attention to your footing and brace for potential instability from the wind.

Summit perceived temperatures will rise to around 10°C during the day. However, a sharp drop in temperature is expected from evening into the night, reaching as low as 1°C by early morning. As indicated by the automatic risk assessment, a sudden 9°C temperature decrease is forecast. Therefore, layer with a quick-drying base, a light fleece mid-layer, and a windproof shell. Always carry an insulating layer like a lightweight down jacket for breaks, evenings, and early mornings.

While the risk of thunderstorms is low, the probability of precipitation increases after 3 PM, so carry rain gear as a precaution. Be prepared for rapid temperature drops during your hike and make early decisions to turn back if conditions warrant.
